Christmas Business Speed Dating & Social Event
In Fusion, 111, Bute St, Cardiff, South Glamorgan CF10 5AD

Christmas Cheer, Food and Wine &
The “Speed Dating” Experience

Making the most of your dates!

Objectives
To help members and non-members get to know each others capabilities and interests
To promote opportunities for partnership working

How it will work
You will be asked to move around the room for a 5 minute “date” with another person. You should use your time together to find out as much about each other as possible. We will remind you after 5 minutes that it is time to move on. (we’ll also keep a bucket of cold water handy in case things get a bit too festive! – careful where the mistletoe is hanging).
Whilst a typical “date” will involve the meeting of two people, It may be that you find yourself in a group of three or more – this is OK (we’re pretty liberal about such things!) – and it helps if we are an odd number. There’s no reason why this can’t work in a flexible way to ensure that everyone gets the maximum interaction possible.
We’ve allocated an hour for this activity – which should be enough for 12 dates – by which time you’ll realise that it would have been a good idea to take some notes because you’ll have forgotten who said what!

Preparation
Aside from bringing a business card, you might want to reflect on the unique or most valuable facets of your work. Perhaps picking out a case example that you feel best illustrates what you do. You might also want to consider what your weakest areas are – helping you identify the possibilities of working in partnership.
